West Kilbride is a crofting township situated at the southern end of South Uist.
The cottage is approximately 1 hour 20 minutes drive from the ferry port at Lochmaddy in North Uist, 20 minutes from the port at Lochboisdale, South Uist and 20 minutes from the ferry port in Eriskay.
There are several supermarkets situated throughout the isles with the nearest being the Co-op located in Daliburgh 4.2 miles North of the property. Located within Dalburgh is the local Post Office, South Uist Medical Practice and the Borrodale Hotel.
There is a community shop situated in Eriskay along with Am Politician Public House which serves bistro style food.
The Pollachar Hotel is 5 minutes drives south from the property and this hotel serves food throughout the day.
